The Beer School - Know It
These 4 modules are designed to provide insight into how beer is made and the effect that ingredients and brewing processes have on the beer itself.
1. Malt – We will discuss how it is grown, processed and what kind of flavour and aromatic profiles this ingredient has. In addition, we will also explore several different styles of beer and examine how they are influenced by malt
2. Hops – We will discuss how hops are grown and what kind of attributes they bring to beer. We will also investigate a series of beer styles and the impact hops have on those beers.
3. Water & Yeast – We will focus on the different types of water and how they influence beer styles. In addition, we will examine different types of yeast and how beer is affected by the type of yeast.
4. Fermentation & Aging – We will explore several different fermentation techniques and then discuss aging in general but mostly focus on lagering and aging in barrels.
